If you have crooked teeth and want them straightened, the news has never been better. In recent years huge advances have made orthodontics much quicker, more comfortable and more discreet - some systems are almost invisible. This is especially good news for adult patients, with thousands joining the orthodontic revolution and reaping the oral health benefits of straight teeth and greater self-confidence.

Foley Park Dental & Implant Centre in Kidderminster is right up to date with the latest orthodontic systems and techniques, so whether you need just a minor correction to your front teeth, or something more complicated, we have the affordable treatment for you.

Common orthodontic problems include crowding, misaligned bites and unwanted spaces. Sadly, many people with previous orthodontic treatment also suffer "relapses" when their teeth return to their former positions because they haven't used their retainer.

Until quite recently everyone had to put up with ugly "train tracks", sometimes for years, to correct orthodontic problems. That was a big compromise to make, and many patients were put off. Thankfully all that has changed. We at Foley Park have researched and tested many orthodontic systems, and these are the ones we have found to be the best:

Case 1

Before After

This patient came in unhappy with the protruding upper-right lateral tooth. After 4 months the teeth were aligned to the patient's satisfaction.

Case 2

Before After

This patient was unhappy with her overlapping front teeth. After 4 months with fixed braces, the front teeth were well aligned.

Invisalign Braces

Invisalign is the most advanced clear aligner system in the world. A pioneer in adult orthodontics, invisalign is a constantly developing technology to ensure the absolute best treatment outcomes.

State of the art technology allows a bespoke service to be provided to the absolute highest of standards.

QST - Quick Straight Teeth

All QST Dentists ONLY use 3M brackets. These have a proven track-record worldwide for their performance, beautiful aesthetics, and they are nearly invisible in the mouth. We also use tooth-coloured wires making our braces the most aesthetic when compared to similar systems.

QST is used to correct mild misalignment of the front 6 to 8 teeth, to give you a beautiful smile. Because we only move the front teeth, the force required is minimal. The wires exert mild pressure to move the teeth, without the need for severe tightening which can cause the discomfort noted in conventional orthodontic treatment.

Smile Tru positioners

Smile Tru positioners are almost invisible, removable appliances designed to correct alignment problems in adults and teenagers aged 14 or over. Using very gentle force, the process takes from 6 to about 12 months depending on the scale of the problem.

Patients with Smile Tru positioners can laugh and smile without the self-consciousness often associated with obvious fixed braces. Another great thing is that you can take them out when eating and when cleaning your teeth. Our positioners are very similar to Invisalign and just as good, but you'll like the price comparison.

Inman Aligners

The Inman Aligner is designed to correct adult relapse and misaligned teeth. It is barely visible, apart from a single clear wire, and it is a removable orthodontic appliance, allowing the wearer to go brace-free for important occasions. Similar to a retainer but has advantages over a retainer:

  • Can correct moderate crowding and rotation of teeth
  • More comfortable to wear as the spring is made of nickel titanium rather than stainless steel
  • No retention problems

How does it work?

The Inman Aligner utilises a lingual coil spring that puts pressure at the back of the teeth that need repositioning and a bar that is placed across the front of the teeth reverses the same pressure. These components work together to "squeeze" teeth together by pushing and pulling them into alignment. To view a video demostration, click here.

How long does it take?

Fitting the aligner takes two halfhour appointments, followed by 15-minute monthly check-ups.

Treatment can be achieved in as little as 8 to 16 weeks.
